Check Out Steep Hill
Steep Hill is probably Lincoln’s most well-renowned street, peppered with independent shops, cafes and brilliant places to sit and watch the world go by. As the name suggests, Steep Hill is… steep, so it’s not for the faint-hearted but is certainly worth the climb!
Lincoln Castle
Lincoln Castle was built in 1068 by William the Conqueror only two years after he famously and successfully won the Battle of Hastings in 1066 and became the first Norman King of England. Used as a strategic base during William’s battle against resistance in the Midlands and the North, Lincoln Castle is also home to an original copy of the Magna Carta with only three other original copies in existence.
